New web address and new blog
New web address
If you have visited the website in the last week or so you may have noticed that you were redirected to a new URL http://www.subud.org.uk
The main reason for this is that previously the site didn't show up in google UK searches for the keyword 'Subud'. Now that we have a .org.uk domain name the search engines can be in no doubt we are a UK based organization. The move also involves changing the email addresses to @subud.org.uk this will have the benefit that some of the old addresses had been picked up by spammers and a lot of people were getting lots of spam emails in their inboxes. The previous emails @subudbritain.org are still active and will remain so at least until the end of the year. When these are de-activated they wont just be turned off, I will set up an auto-response message telling the sender to send via the new address. One other benefit is that you may have noticed that the web address and the email addresses were slightly different which did cause some confusion. I don't need to go into why the difference as it is history now.
One other development is of course this blog. Hopefully this will prove a good way to keep people informed of developments on the site and also post their feedback and comments.

Great idea to have a Subud Britain website blog! I had wondered what had happened with the name change. it would be nice to see more information about what the helpers are up to on the website! I'd like some stats too - how many new members etc etc.
Nice idea having a blog. I would like to see a blog for other people in the organization just to get an idea of what other people are up to. Eg Subud youth, SES etc....
Hi Elissa and Harman.
I like the new look website and have a few correction for you to make please.
Please will you make the following changes
TO THE SUBUD BIRMINGHAM GROUP PAGE:
* Change the Latihan times so that Monday also reads 8.15pm for 8.30pm
* Remove Grahame Sturt's name from the Chair position as he has now left the Group, is not on email and is now part of Ilford group. We have not yet got a replacement Chair.
* Change the Treasurer from Raymond Squire to Marcus Hamilton.
* Change the secretary from Mustafa van Hein to Rosada Davey and Bachrun Mason
TO THE LUDLOW PAGE:
Delete the page and links as it Ludlow is no longer a Group and no Group Latihans take place there any more. Former members there now come to Birmingham.
Many thanks, Marcus Hamilton
